I was a little hesitant to make the Beet – Cucumber Cleansing Juice just because it had so many ingredients, but really it’s not to difficult to make. There are 7 ingredients, but ginger and lemon are so easy to add to a juice it doesn’t make sense for me not to try it at least once. I’m so happy I did.
This is a delicious blend. I could taste every ingredient, but none of them were overpowering. I’ll be making the Beet – Cucumber Cleansing Juice again.
Why is this a cleansing juice? For one, beets. Beets are good for the kidney, liver and bladder. Beetroot juice is also believed to be a blood purifier and is good for intestinal cleanses.
Be careful about the leaves though. The leaves are high in oxalate and people on a low oxalate diet should avoid consuming too much of the beetroot stems and leaves.
